Your anonymity is VERY important to us. With search engine history (such as google) it is possible that a message you have written with your personal story could be identified as written by you if you have used the same username somewhere on sites such as:

All message board posts written are public. However replies to posts are only seen by members who have created an account with COAP.

If you or someone else is at risk, mentors may need to tell the COAP safeguarding team about it. If they need to do that, they will always try and let you know beforehand.
